Members

The Vail Community Action Board, Inc (VCAB) is comprised of 20 members-at-large, 10 ex-officio members and two student members. Members-at-large must reside in the Vail service area. Ex-officio members serve as representative of invited governmental and social organizations serving the Vail community. Members-at-large and ex-officio members enjoy the same privileges including voting.

The Executive Committee is made up of a chair, vice chair, secretary, treasurer and fifth member at large.

Meet Mike Carson
Mike Carson has been living and working in the Vail area since 2002, when he moved from New york City to teach at Cienega HIgh School. In Mike’s ten years association with the Vail School District, he has taught high-level math, Japanese Ceramics, filmmaking, literature and studio art. At Empire High School, Mike was instrumental in designing and teaching the ELP (gifted) program, which he currently teaches at Andrada Polytechnic. As three-term president of The EMpire-Fagan Coalition, Mike has worked to maintain a balance between development and conservation in our community. In addition to his current responsibilities to Vail USD, Mike works on web and graphic design projects, and continues his studio work as a visual and conceptual artist.

Meet Charlotte A. Fugett

Charlotte Fugett is currently the President of Pima County Community College (PCC), East Campus. Prior to the position of East Campus President, Charlotte was the Executive Vice Chancellor for Administration at Pima Community College and also served as Vice Chancellor for Human Resources.  She has also served as Acting Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor. Prior to coming to Pima Community College, Charlotte was the Director of Human Resources at the University of Richmond in Virginia. Charlotte served as National President Elect, President, and Vice President for Membership for the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR). Charlotte has a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Richmond and a Bachelor of Science in History from Longwood College.
